NIH ELSI 1996 Awards

The following table has been taken from NIH files. It gives the overall expenditure for the NIH Human Genome Project. ELSI funding should be approximately 3%-5% of the total funding. This year 14 projects were funded. The total of the 10 known ELSI funded projects is $1,557,129 about 1.3% of the total $116,317,521. This not include LM06029, HG01511, HG00020 and HG00019 for which the funding levels have yet to be determined.
