This my personal website containing those things I share with the world. It is composed of my experiences, my research and my opinions. I am solely responsible for the site.

My professional life is more or less a resume of jobs. Work history helps to define who we are both by the choices made and the interaction with the job. I was lucky enough to work at MIT for many years working with people directly involved with the Space Shuttle in the 1980s, several Nobel laureates in physics in the 1990s and even spent a year with the Human Genome Project.

My work experiences and my education, along with simply living my life have provided the foundation for my worldview. I am an explorer and an academic gypsy enjoying whatever is interesting. My profession is computer security and Open Source technologies, with many years of managing computer facilities and networks. I have also invested significant time and energy into the History of Science. I consider myself an free and independent thinker who believes strongly in the values of freedom and free expression.
